What can you do with:

If you were given recycled yarn that at one time was in a granny square afghan of 6 inch squares, what could you do with it?
the colors are red, white and blue, and each granny was started with a different center color (one red, one white one blue) and each one went in sequence of red/white/blue twice in each square, making the yarn pieces very irregular lengths. it is acrylic yarn.
You cannot combine all the red together, all the white and all the blue.
you must use it as it came off the afghan.
So what could you make?
please be specific on what you would make, stitches used etc.
you might win something fun for your reply

Hi Jo! I would make a scrappy afghan, like what Sandy Pettit has on her Crochet Cabana blog. The pattern can be found here: http://www.crochetcabana.com/patterns.htm and it's listed under Miscellaneous, titled Lexi's Scrappy Blankie. Sandy is planning to move all her patterns soon, so if you miss it let me know and I'll do my best to explain her technique. Thanks!! - Melani
